My name is Josecíto
There’s an accent on the i. My origins and date of birth are a mystery.
But, I’m an actual, living dinosaur*.
Chomp
Hola! You made it to my website.
My name is Josecíto the Tortoise and I weigh about 15 pounds. I’m 36 years old, but that’s really just a guess since my hatch date is a mystery. My dads instead use my arrival date of March 29, 2024! I do silly things all the time, but my dads make sure I’m really well cared for because I’m on the Endangered Species list in California.
*Josecíto thinks he’s a living dinosaur, but he’s not and we know it.

Before you go, check out my Insta or take a minute to learn a thing or two about Mojave Desert tortoises.
The Mojave Desert tortoise was listed as a threatened species in California in 1989 and Federally in 1990. In 2024, the California Fish and Game Commission uplisted the species to endangered.
